I had the opportunity to present the City of Edmonton’s Hello, How Are You? campaign to the John A McDougall grade six City Hall School class. Hello, How Are You? aims to positively affect mental health and reduce social isolation by encouraging Edmontonians to get connected to their communities simply by saying “Hello, how are you?” The class seemed to connect with the concept and were each able to share examples from their own lives.

This exercise provided a great reminder of how the compassion, optimism, creativity and imagination of children can add so much value to the work that we do.

Thank you to the John A McDougall grade six class and their wonderful teacher Veronica for capturing the essence of the Hello, How Are You? campaign.
